Arsenal transfer stance on Antoine Semenyo and Nico Williams as £50m summer plan emerges

are tracking Antoine Semenyo's progress ahead of a potential summer move, it has been claimed. The 25-year-old has been an outstanding performer for Bournemouth in the Premier League this season, scoring seven goals and adding four assists in 29 matches.

However, there is an expectation that Semenyo will leave Bournemouth, alongside Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen, at the end of the season. It's understood the forward is considering his next steps, having attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.

Arsenal are known to prefer Athletic Club's Nico Williams, but his eye-watering wage demands could require the Gunners to look elsewhere.

Williams' representatives would expect him to be earning a similar amount at Arsenal to Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka - all of whom are said to receive around £250,000 per-week.

Andrea Berta, Arsenal's new sporting director, has held talks with Williams and wants to convince him to move to north London this summer. The Spain international has a release clause of £51m and that could be triggered with host of Europe's elite expected to make a pitch for his services.

Semenyo is seen as an alternative for Williams as the Gunners look to strengthen their forward line. Signed from Bristol City for £10m in January 2023, Semenyo has been impressive since his move to Bournemouth.

While he scored just eight times in his first full season at the Vitality Stadium, there were signs that Semenyo had the potential to become an elite Premier League performer. And although his performance levels have dropped in recent weeks, Semenyo has enjoyed a fine season for Bournemouth.

And the Cherries are set to demand in excess of £50m for the Ghanaian, who has four years left on his contract. A versatile forward, Semenyo can play anywhere across the forward line but is preferred off the right. He has been used on the left, however, in recent months and it's a formula that has worked.

Arsenal are looking at signing several forward players. It's believed that the Gunners want a new No.9 and a left-sided attacker before the end of the summer transfer window.

Viktor Gyokeres has been identified as a target after impressing at Sporting CP, with the Swede scoring 42 goals in 42 games across all competitions this season. Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko are among the others that have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.
