Lorraine's Dr Hilary Jones was left delighted on Thursday's show as he proudly announced the arrival of his grandchild live on air.
During his medical segment, guest host Christine Lampard congratulated him on welcoming another grandchild to which the proud grandfather shared details from the birth.
Christine, 45, said: "Hilary, firstly, congratulations, grandad again!" to which Dr Hilary went on to thank the as he shared details from the birth of his grandchild, praising all the staff involved in welcoming the newborn.
Dr Hilary said: "I know! I just wanted to say, here's a picture of my daughter's baby being born by caesarean section. People talk about the NHS being broken, this was a moment of fantastic, five star, wonderful experience at Kingston Maternity hospital.
"Baby born by elective caesarean section, too young female obstetrician surgeons, lovely atmosphere in the room, everything went perfectly, couldn't reccomend them highly enough. Where the NHS works well, it is fabulous, thank you Kingston!" to which Christine said: "Congratulations!"
It comes as Lorraine's very own Lorraine Kelly recently became a grandmother for the first time. In a sweet show earlier this month, 30 years on since Lorraine sat next to Dr Hilary on the Lorraine sofa with daughter baby Rosie in her arms, she was now joined by her beautiful granddaughter Billie.
Watch Lorraine weekdays from 9am on ITV1, ITVX, STV & STV Player.
