The drama escalated in tonight's episode (October 28) of Married at First Sight UK, with tensions boiling over among the couples and viewers witnessing a fresh dispute just moments in.

The couples faced the series' penultimate commitment ceremony, making the crucial choice to either stick with their spouse or exit the unconventional marriage arrangement.

Sacha and Ross, plagued by their ongoing squabble with fellow participant Alex, were the first to sit in front of the experts. Discussing his altercation with Alex, Ross disclosed: "I told him about my feelings... it wasn't nice what he said to my wife. I was angry, I'm still angry. All I was asking was a simple thing, to say sorry."

Expert Paul Brunson asked if Ross would consider going back "to square one" in his rocky relationship with Alex, receiving a blunt rebuttal from Ross: "No, he can f*** off. He took it too far."

Alex's reaction, a slight grin, didn't go unnoticed by his partner Holly, who looked at him with contempt, telling her groom: "You are actually so embarrassing," which only led to more grins from Alex, reports .

Defending his actions, Alex said he "felt like I was being attacked, and I attacked back," before adding: I'm sorry for what I said to Sacha. Whether she accepts it or not, that's another story."

After Sacha dismissed his apology, Alex let out a laugh, which only served to infuriate Holly further. She snapped at him, "Sort your face out, it's knocking me sick. I can't sit next to you," and promptly distanced herself from her groom.

Alex's antics during the nuptials sparked quite the conversation among viewers. Flocking to X, previously known as , one audience member slammed the "chilling" behaviour of the MAFS UK participant.

"That laughing when Alex has got someone annoyed is quite chilling," they commented, pointing out the groom's habit of grinning and chuckling amidst heated moments. "OMGGGGGG Alex's smirky grin is vile," another exasperated viewer posted. A third chimed in: "Alex is so belittling it's infuriating to watch."
