To become a veterinarian, first of all you have to study veterinary science. Earlier there used to be All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT) for admission in this field, but now NEET UG exam marks are seen for admission in the course of veterinary science. Out of the veterinary courses available across India, 15 percent of the seats are filled through the NEET exam.
The most popular course for admission in veterinary science is Bachelor of Animal Science and Husbandry, which is about five and a half years long. This course also includes a one-year internship, which gives practical experience to the students. To get admission in this course, it is necessary that you pass 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. Your total marks should be at least 50 percent.

According to media reports, an average veterinary doctor in India earns Rs 50,000 to Rs 50,000 per month Earns Rs 60,000. But this earning depends on your experience, expertise and field of work.
