Sasaram (Bihar) [India], November 2 (ANI): In a significant operation on Saturday, the Sasaram police conducted a crackdown that led to the recovery of various illegal items, including firearms, heroin, laptops, and mobile phones.
The Rohtas police acted swiftly on receiving the information of the presence of hidden drugs within several residences in the Mubarakganj area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Nagar police station.
According to police officials, the Investigations suggested that not only were drugs being concealed, but there was also an active illegal drug trade taking place in the neighbourhood.
Rohtas Superintendent of Police (SP) Roshan Kumar reported that law enforcement officials executed raids on approximately six to seven identified houses. As a result of these operations, ten individuals have been detained for their suspected involvement in these illicit activities. The police are continuing their investigation to uncover further details about the drug supply network operating in the region.
"The matter is being investigated. So far, more than 10 people have been detained and are being questioned. Weapons and drugs have been recovered from these people. The information about the total arrests will be shared only after interrogation. The final number of recovered weapons will also be told after some time. At present, the raid is over and the investigation is going on.." he said.
Meanwhile, police said that the arrested people are being questioned regarding the case. A piece of detailed information will be given about the number of weapons, cash and drugs recovered. (ANI)
