The sacred halls of Ramanathaswami Temple in Rameswaram recently witnessed yet another overwhelming show of devotion, as the latest donation box count revealed contributions of over ₹1.47 crore in cash, along with gold, silver, and an array of foreign currencies. The count, conducted with the help of temple staff and volunteers, recorded ₹1,47,42,943 in cash, 98 grams of gold, 4.1 kilograms of silver, and 162 foreign currency notes and coins. Temple authorities stated the counting was completed in a single day and noted the impressive participation of international devotees, evident from the diverse foreign currencies found in the offering.
