Salman Khan is going all out on security after receiving multiple death threats. The ‘Dabangg’ star has reportedly invested in a brand new bulletproof car. Reports now suggest that the actor is going to great lengths to ensure his protection. According to Bollywood Society, Salman Khan has recently acquired a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV. Since this vehicle is not available in India, it is said that Khan is importing it from Dubai. The car, priced around Rs 2 crore, will reportedly incur additional costs for expedited delivery to India.

Details about the car found online reveal that it comes equipped with cutting-edge security features, including sensors to detect explosives, reinforced glass capable of withstanding close-range gunfire and tinted black windows to conceal the identities of those inside. This is not the first time Salman Khan has made such a purchase; last year, he imported another bulletproof car from the UAE after receiving his first death threats from the Bishnoi gang, which also targeted his father, Salim Khan.

For the unversed, the ‘Bodyguard’ actor has been a target of the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for quite some time now. Days after the murder of politician Baba Siddiqui (who was close to the star), he received fresh death threats.

On Friday, Salman Khan returned to the set of Bigg Boss 18 amid tight security, marking his first appearance at work since Baba Siddique’s murder. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for Siddique’s killing, though the investigation by the police is still ongoing. That same Friday, a threatening message directed at Khan was sent to the Mumbai Police via WhatsApp, demanding Rs 5 crore.

“If Salman Khan wishes to remain alive and resolve his conflict with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay Rs 5 crore. If the money is not given, his fate will be worse than Baba Siddique’s,” the message read, according to ANI.

India Today reports that security at the Bigg Boss set has been intensified, with over 60 security personnel stationed to guard the premises. Entry to the set is heavily restricted, and guards are required to verify individuals' Aadhar cards before allowing access. Salman Khan hosts the weekend Weekend Ka Vaar episodes of the show amidst these heightened precautions.
