What was meant to be a quiet visit to her farmhouse turned into a disturbing discovery for former Bollywood actress Sangeeta Bijlani. Bijlani arrived at her bungalow in Tikona village near Pawna Dam, Pune, only to find it completely ransacked and burgled after nearly four months of being vacant.
The actress, who had stayed away from the property due to her father’s health issues, was accompanied by two housemaids when she discovered the break-in around 9:30 am. According to her statement to Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Sandip Singh Gill, the main gate and window grills were broken, one television was missing, and another had been smashed. Bijlani revealed that the upper floor of the farmhouse was completely vandalised. Beds had been destroyed, household items lay in ruins, and the CCTV cameras had either been stolen or severely damaged.

As per an IANS report, the thieves reportedly gained entry through the rear side of the property and made away with Rs 50,000 in cash and a television worth Rs 7,000, bringing the total value of stolen items to Rs 57,000.
The case has been registered at the Lonavla Rural Police Station, where Mohammed Mujeeb Khan, a private employee associated with Sangeeta Bijlani, lodged the formal complaint. Police confirmed to IANS that the property had been unoccupied for four months, making it an easy target for the culprits, who remain at large.
