Send Push
Antony Varghese and Mo Ismail’s sports drama Daveed is all set to make its OTT debut soon. Originally released in cinemas on February 14, 2025, to coincide with Valentine’s Day, the Malayalam-language boxing drama did not enjoy a strong theatrical opening. According to the data provided by entertainment analytics platform Sacnilk, the film managed to earn ₹0.9 crore on its first day at the box office, registering an overall occupancy rate of 30.18% across Malayalam screenings.

Although it underperformed in its initial release, all eyes are now on its digital launch, which might offer the film a second chance to connect with a wider audience. The ensemble cast includes notable names such as Lijo Mol Jose, Nileen Sandra, Aju Varghese, and Antony Varghese in leading roles.

In terms of its total earnings, Daveed collected ₹5.22 crore within India and approximately ₹6 crore worldwide, as per the latest figures from Sacnilk. While these numbers are modest for a regional action film, the upcoming digital release could potentially give the project new momentum.

Where to Watch Daveed Online?

For viewers who missed the theatrical run, the movie will soon be accessible via a popular OTT platform. The high-octane action drama is scheduled to begin streaming exclusively on ZEE5. Audiences can catch it from the comfort of their homes starting next week.

Daveed's OTT Release Date

The digital premiere of Daveed has been locked for Friday, April 18, 2025. The Malayalam-language film will be available to stream on ZEE5 from that date. ZEE5 Keralam officially confirmed the news through their Instagram account, sharing a poster and caption that built excitement among fans eagerly awaiting its online launch.

Plot Summary of Daveed

Daveed tells the story of Ashiq Abu, a retired boxer who now works as an unmotivated bouncer at glitzy celebrity parties. His monotonous life takes a dramatic turn when he crosses paths with a fierce Turkish boxer, which reignites his passion for the sport and forces him back into the ring. The film is helmed by director Govind Vishnu and jointly produced by Panorama Studios, John & Mary Creative, Century Films, Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments.
