Tickets for Lollapalooza India 2026 sold out in just 30 minutes after the general sale opened, following the announcement that Linkin Park will make their long-awaited India debut, headlining the festival as part of their From Zero World Tour. The band will take the stage at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai on January 25, 2026, bringing their signature high-energy performance to an eagerly awaiting Indian audience.
As per reports, the announcement was made through a newsletter to fans, complete with a promotional poster, ahead of the general ticket sale scheduled for 12 pm IST on August 28 via lollaindia.com and BookMyShow.
ET couldn't independently verify the newsletter which is now being heavily circulated online.
“India has been somewhere we’ve wanted to play for a long time. Our fans there are incredibly passionate and we can’t wait to finally bring our live show to them,” Mike Shinoda said in a message to fans.
This performance comes after the release of Linkin Park’s comeback album From Zero in 2024. The tour has introduced new members, including vocalist Emily Armstrong, drummer Colin Brittain, and live guitarist Alex Federer. The album marked the band’s first major project since the tragic passing of original frontman Chester Bennington in 2017.
The band’s return began in September 2024, following years of silence after a tribute concert for Bennington in October 2017. Their first single since 2017, “ The Emptiness Machine,” paved the way for a new chapter in Linkin Park’s journey.
Fans had speculated about the India show for months. A Bank of Baroda push notification hinting at Linkin Park during RuPay pre-sales, along with subtle nods on Lollapalooza India’s Instagram, fueled excitement.
One post read, " From zero to hundred. Experience the next level of live music at Lolla India 2026," referencing the band’s From Zero album, while another teased, " Come be a part of something," which fans linked to lyrics from The Emptiness Machine.
Lollapalooza India 2026 marks the festival’s fourth edition, previously featuaring international artists such as Sting, Green Day, Jonas Brothers, Shawn Mendes, Imagine Dragons, alongside Indian performers AP Dhillon, Divine, Raghu Dixit, and Prabh Deep. The 2026 edition promises over 40 artists, with the full lineup yet to be announced.
While general admission and VIP passes sold out almost immediately, the premium categories, Lolla Platinum Weekend EB and Lolla Platinum Weekend U25, were also quickly snapped up, priced at ₹48,999 and ₹29,999, respectively. These passes offer extras such as air-conditioned lounges, Platinum Pits, shuttle services, and dedicated viewing areas.
Linkin Park’s India debut is part of their From Zero World Tour, which has already spanned multiple countries. The Mumbai show promises to be a landmark performance, bringing the band’s high-energy stage presence and iconic hits to a new generation of fans in India.
