Bollywood icon Madhuri Dixit and her husband, Dr. Sriram Nene, recently marked a proud milestone in their family as their eldest son, Arin Nene, completed his college education. Arin graduated from the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC), and his parents were right there with him, beaming with joy and pride during the convocation event.

Interestingly, both Arin Nene and Arhaan Khan—son of Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan—took their initial steps into the world of cinema by working as assistant directors under filmmaker Karan Johar on the movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. The film, which featured stars like Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, also had Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, serving as an assistant director.

Dr. Nene shared a heartfelt update on Instagram with a collection of photos from the graduation ceremony. His caption read: All in a week’s work! Loved every part of the ceremonies and am so proud of Arin and his classmates. And the best part is MD celebrated her birthday with Arin graduating! What an amazing present for both.”

In the carousel of pictures, Arin is seen dressed in his academic gown, proudly holding up his diploma. Dr. Nene stands beside him in one frame, while another captures a cheerful selfie of the couple from the audience. The final slide shows Arin posing with his parents and fellow graduates—smiles all around. Fans filled the comments section with congratulations, praising Arin and the entire Nene family.

Back in 2023, Arin’s younger brother Ryan also reached a major academic milestone, graduating from the American School of Bombay.

Dr. Nene posted another tribute, expressing his gratitude towards USC’s leadership. He wrote, “Very grateful for the time and attention that President Folt and Dean Yannis and their teams at USC have given to every student. Very proud of what they have achieved. USC will miss President Folt and her kindness and humility but she will be a lifelong friend. And Dean Yannis and his team are family and we look forward to future adventures together with the boys. Fight On!”

In a touching story shared on Dance Deewane, comedian Bharti Singh recalled a moment on the film set involving Arin and Arhaan. She revealed how both star kids were seen doing simple tasks like fetching chairs and fanning artists, despite their privileged backgrounds. “It was inspiring to see them working from the ground up,” she said. “Their parents raised them well, and even I took a lesson from that day.”

Madhuri, who wed Dr. Nene in 1999 and lived in the U.S. for over a decade, was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and is now gearing up for her next release, Mrs. Deshpande.
