In a rare and heart-warming moment, a mother and daughter from Telangana sat for the NEET 2025 exam on the same day, both hoping to fulfil their dream of becoming doctors.
Bhukya Sarita, 38, is a Registered Medical Practitioner ( RMP) from Manchyanayak Thanda in Tungaturthi Mandal, Suryapet district. She appeared for NEET at the Suryapet Government Junior College, while her daughter, Kaveri, wrote the exam at a different centre, Government High School NSP Camp in Khammam.
Sarita’s journey is full of determination and courage. Back in 2007, she was in her final year of BSc Nursing but had to leave her studies after getting married. Over the years, family responsibilities and raising two daughters became her focus. Her husband, Bhukya Kishan, also an RMP, supported her throughout. Together, they encouraged their daughter to aim for an MBBS seat.
But as Kaveri began her NEET coaching in Khammam, Sarita started to feel a strong desire to return to her own dream. Inspired by her daughter and supported by her family, she decided to prepare for NEET too. Balancing work, household duties, and studies was not easy, but she didn’t give up.
