Virginia Giuffre, one of the many survivors of Jeffrey Epstein ’s sexual abuse and a courageous advocate who bravely spoke out against the same, left behind a powerful, finished memoir. Titled Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice and written with journalist Amy Wallace, the 400-page book is set to be published posthumously on October 21, 2025, following her tragic death this spring.
In it, Giuffre reveals new, unfiltered details from her experience in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring, including abuse by high-profile individuals like Prince Andrew. Her final wish was for this memoir to be shared, aiming to spark justice, systemic change, and awareness as her enduring legacy.
Virginia Giuffre: Who was she?
Born in Sacramento and raised in Florida, Virginia Louise Roberts Giuffre (1983-2025) survived a traumatic childhood marked by abuse and homelessness. By her early teens, she had become ensnared in a global sex trafficking ring led by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell . As she grew older, Giuffre became a powerful advocate, co-founding the nonprofit Speak Out, Act, Reclaim (SOAR) to support survivors and raise awareness.
She courageously filed legal actions against Epstein, Maxwell, and also Prince Andrew, alleging abuse when she was a minor. In 2022, her civil suit with Prince Andrew was settled out of court.
What is Nobody’s Girl about?
Her memoir, Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, is reportedly a raw, unflinching recounting of her experience in Epstein’s trafficking network. Co-written with award-winning journalist Amy Wallace, the 400-page manuscript includes new, disturbing, and deeply personal details involving Epstein, Maxwell, and others, including Prince Andrew, whom she addresses for the first time since their settlement.
Giuffre reportedly completed the book in early 2025, months before her death. A heartfelt email to Wallace, dated April 1, emphasizes her “heartfelt wish” for the memoir to be published regardless of what happened to her: “In the event of my passing, I would like to ensure that Nobody’s Girl is still released. I believe it has the potential to impact many lives…”
Publisher Alfred A. Knopf, which acquired the book after Giuffre shifted from a previous seven-figure deal with Penguin Press, confirmed the memoir has been thoroughly fact-checked and legally vetted.
How did Virginia Giuffre die?
In March this year, Giuffre suffered a serious accident, leading to hospitalization. Weeks later, in April, she tragically died by suicide at age 41, at her property in Neergabby, Western Australia.
Her death marked a heartbreaking loss, not just personally, but for the worldwide survivor community. Her family and supporters have continued her mission, urging renewed attention to her story and systemic failures in trafficking prevention.
Nobody’s Girl stands as Virginia Giuffre's final, brave gift to the world, a memoir built to withstand suppression and silence. Scheduled for release on October 21 this year, it promises to stir painful truths, offer justice, and lift the voices of survivors everywhere. With detail, courage, and purpose, Giuffre ensures her story, and the stories of countless others, will no longer fade into the background. As per reports, publisher Knopf has arranged for a first US print run of 250,000 copies, signaling confidence in both the book’s importance and impact.
