Ingredients
250 grams of fresh green gram seeds
500 grams of mawa
600 grams of sugar powder
Some saffron strands
A little ghee
1/4 of a quarter bowl of chopped dry fruits
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
Silver foil
Method
- First of all, clean the peeled green gram seeds, then wash them, add a little water, and grind in a mixer till they become fine.
- Now, heat ghee in a pan, add the green gram mixture, fry it well, and keep it aside.
- Grate the mawa with a grater and fry it for a while in a pan on low flame.

- When it cools down a little, add sugar powder and cardamom powder to the green gram and mawa.
- Now, take a plate or paraat and rub ghee all around it and spread the prepared green gram mixture well and sprinkle the chopped dry fruits.
- When the mixture cools down a bit, cut the green gram barfi into desired shape with the help of a knife. If you want, you can also apply silver foil on top of the barfi before cutting it.
