Actor Arjit Taneja lashed out at those who have been 'celebrating' his show Jhanak going off-air. On Wednesday (July 9), he clarified that the show is not going off-air and only its time slot is being shifted. Taking to his official X account, Arjit also said that no show deserves 'negativity'.
The actor wrote, "Seeing people celebrate #Jhanak going off air is sad. A show supports 150+ jobs. I know as fans there could be a lot of things one isn’t satisfied with but actors do their best with given content, but we don’t control it."
"Lift each other up, don’t cheer lows. Also, show’s NOT ending, just shifting time slots. No show deserves negativity," he wrote, and added a folded hand emoticon.

Arjit reacts to user who said Jhanak deserves 'hate'
Reacting to his post, a user stated that Jhanak deserves 'hate' because of its content which is not at par with today's time.
"Arijit, I get your point, but honestly Jhanak deserves all the hate. Every itv show rn are pure trash. The content is not fitted for the time we live. Make better content, actors all over the world speak against doomstick makers, only here we see them simping," the user replied.
However, Arjit was is no mood to ignore the comment. He replied, "Not simping at all. Don't need to. I have stood up for the content in the previous show as well. There was a forced marriage track which I did not agree with but you also need to know that us as actors disagreeing with a certain track doesn't make a difference. We do end up doing it any which way as it’s not our call. It’s the producer and the channels call.

And here’s hoping to better content ahead."

Jhanak leap
For those unversed, Jhanak initially starred Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja in the lead roles. However, due to low TRP, the makers decided to introduce a leap with new cast members.
Recently, Arjit and Riya Sharma entered the show. While Riya is seen as the new Jhanak, Arjit portrays the role of a cop in the daily soap.
