Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Urban administration minister Kailash Vijayvargiya will present special gifts to 198 Anganwadi centres in his Assembly Constituency No. 1 on Thursday.
Each centre will be transformed into a "Smart Anganwadi" under a newly launched initiative to improve child development infrastructure.
The initiative focuses on the holistic development of children, who are considered the future of the nation.
The government plans to strengthen early education, nutrition, and recreational activities through well-equipped Anganwadi centres.
As part of this transformation, Vijayvargiya will distribute essential items, including smart TVs, weight and height measuring machines, chairs, tables and utensils such as plates, glasses and spoons. Wall clocks will also be provided for time management in daily activities.
This effort is aimed at ensuring that children receive a supportive environment for both learning and physical development, laying a strong foundation for their future contribution to nation-building.
The distribution event will be held on Thursday at 10 am near the MLA office, Kila Maidan Road, Zone 1. Project officers, supervisors and Anganwadi workers will be present on this occasion to receive the materials.
The initiative is seen as a significant step towards modernising basic childcare infrastructure in Indore’s urban areas.
