Multiple Explosions Heard Near Pakistan's Nur Khan Airbase In Rawalpindi: Reports

The Indian Armed Forces have launched retaliatory strikes after Pakistan carried out a second wave of swarm drone attacks at 26 locations along the International Border and Line of Control. The targeted areas include Baramulla, Srinagar, Avantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozepur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuarbet, and Lakhi Nala.

According to reports by IANS, APF, and Pakistan-based media outlet SAAM TV, multiple explosions were heard near Nur Khan Airbase and in parts of Lahore late Friday night. According to APF reports, the Pakistan military alleged that these were the result of targeted actions by Indian forces.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's army spokesman accused India of firing missiles at three air bases, claiming most were intercepted.

This development comes after several explosions were heard near Rawalpindi and Shorkot.

The Indian retaliation came after a fresh provocation on Friday, when a Pakistani drone crossed the Line of Control and International Border. The drone triggered blackouts and air raid sirens in over 20 places, including Jammu, Jalandhar, Pathankot, and Barmer, causing panic in parts of northern and western India.

The situation worsened when one Pakistani drone struck a residential area in Firozpur, Punjab, injuring three civilians. "We received information about three people being injured with burn injuries. They are being treated, and most of the drones have been neutralised by the army," said SSP Ferozepur Bhupinder Singh Sidhu.

Pakistan's attempted retaliation came in the wake of India's Operation Sindoor, where the Indian armed forces targeted nine terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on Wednesday. The operation was a direct response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

Red streaks could be seen and explosions were heard in Samba sector of Jammu as India's air defence intercepted Pakistani drones amid blackout.

Meanwhile a precautionary blackout has been enforfced in the multiple areas amid the esclating tensions between India and Pakistan.

Complete blackout has been enforced, Akhnoor and Udhampur region of Jammu and Kashmir; Ambala and Panchkula area of Haryana.The blackout are also enforced in Firozpur of Punjab and Jaisalmer of Rajasthan.

Pakistan has violated the ceasfire for yet another day. On Thursday Pakistani army carried out multiple airspace violations and drone intrusions on the night of May 7 and 8, targeting Indian military infrastructure.
