Mumbai: The BMC is set to launch 21-day swimming training sessions, beginning May 2, at two of civic-run Olympic pools in Dadar (W) and Chembur (E). These specialised summer training sessions will offer participants an excellent opportunity to hone their swimming skills under professional guidance.
Online registration for these sessions will open at 11 AM on April 21. Additionally, the BMC is introducing new monthly and quarterly membership options across other civic-run swimming pools,
"While several private clubs charge Rs. 6,000 for 15-day swimming sessions. The civic body will be charging Rs. 2,210 for children up to 15 years old, senior citizens and specially-abled individuals, Rs. 3,310 for adults. Its first batch will be conducted between May 2 and 22, while the second batch is from May 23 to June 12," said a civic official.
The training sessions at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Olympic Pool in Dadar and the Gen. Arun Kumar Vaidya Olympic Pool in Chembur will be conducted in three slots for one hour each day between 12.30 pm to 4:30 pm.
