Tahawwur Rana Judicial Custody: The NIA Special Court located at Patiala House Court, Delhi has extended the judicial custody of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind and accused Tahawwur Rana till August 13, 2025.

The NIA Special Court at Patiala House Court in Delhi has extended the judicial custody of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind and accused Tahawwur Rana till 13 August 2025. Rana was produced in the court through video conferencing after his previous judicial custody ended, after which the court gave this decision. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is investigating serious allegations of terrorism against Rana.

 

The NIA has filed a supplementary chargesheet against Tahawwur Hussain Rana in the Patiala House Court. This chargesheet cites new facts and revelations about Rana's role. 

 

 

Hearing will be held in court on August 13

The court has fixed August 13, 2025 as the date for consideration of the supplementary charge sheet. The NIA chargesheet highlights Rana's involvement in a conspiracy with the Pakistan Army and terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba. 

Rana demanded to talk to the family

Tahawwur Rana has filed an application in the court, in which he has sought permission to talk to his family on phone at regular intervals. The NIA court will hear this petition on July 15.

Hussain Rana has made many big revelations during interrogation. According to sources, Rana has accepted the involvement of Pakistan's army and intelligence agencies in this attack. He has also confessed that he was present in Mumbai during the 26/11 attacks and all this was part of a big conspiracy.

Interrogation continues in NIA custody

Tahawwur Rana is currently in the custody of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Delhi's Tihar Jail. He is facing interrogation in cases related to the 26/11 attack, in which 166 people were killed and hundreds were injured.

Described himself as a 'trusted agent' of the Pakistani army 

During interrogation by Mumbai Crime Branch, Rana has described himself as a trusted agent of the Pakistani army. He told that he himself was present in Mumbai during the attacks and his presence there was an important part of the strategy of the attack.

He also accepted the fact of training from Lashkar-e-Taiba

Rana has also admitted to receiving training from Lashkar-e-Taiba. He said that he had received training in Pakistan along with David Coleman Headley, a terrorist imprisoned in America. Both of them attended terrorist camps together and worked together in the conspiracy of Mumbai attack.
