Netflix has dropped the seventh season of Black Mirror, offering six fresh episodes for fans to binge-watch.

Each episode features a unique cast, introducing several new faces to the dystopian anthology series.

Season seven also welcomes back some familiar characters, with a sequel to the popular 2017 Star Trek-inspired episode, USS Callister, reports .

USS Callister: Into Infinity continues the story of the titular ship's crew as they battle for survival after escaping from the clutches of malevolent genius Robert Daly, portrayed by Jesse Plemons.

The episode sees many of the main cast members reprising their roles, including Cristin Milioti as Nanette Cole, Billy Magnussen as Karl Valdack, Milanka Brooks as Elena Tulaska, Osy Ikhile as Nate Packer, Paul G. Raymond as Kabir Dudani, and Jimmi Simpson as the cunning CEO of Callister Inc. James Walton.

Fans are eager to learn more about Simpson, 49, particularly regarding his personal life off-camera.

Jimmi Simpson's Hollywood A-lister ex-wife

Simpson has been married twice, first to New Zealand-born actress Melanie Lynskey, renowned for her performances in Yellowjackets, Heavenly Creatures, The Last of Us and Two and a Half Men.

Lynskey, 47, and Simpson crossed paths on the set of Rose Red in 2001 and later got engaged in 2005.

The pair exchanged vows in 2007 in a ceremony held at Lake Hayes, near Queenstown in Lynskey's homeland of New Zealand.

The couple were together for five years before Lynskey filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalised in 2014, and despite their split, they reportedly remain good friends.

Lynskey later tied the knot with Gravity Falls and Parenthood actor Jason Ritter in 2020, and they have a daughter born in 2018.

Simpson also moved on, marrying English actress Sophia Del Pizzo in 2019. Del Pizzo is known for her roles in Whitstable Pearl, Angel Has Fallen, On a Whim and Shelley.

However, he later filed for divorce, with the separation being announced in 2021.

Simpson has since found love with film director Kyra Elise Gardner, known for her work on The Dollhouse, Inked, Living with Chucky and Past Presence.

The pair have been an item since October 2023, and to celebrate their one-year anniversary last year, Gardner, 27, shared a sweet post on .

Alongside a photo of Simpson carrying her in his arms, Gardner penned: "Happy one year to the love of my life @jimmisimpson."

She continued, "I can't imagine an alternate universe where the @foofighters never made a horror movie and we would have never met, and then re met at their concert.
