A killer has been jailed for life for stabbing a mother to death in front of her three-year-old daughter at the Notting Hill Carnival. Shakeil Thibou, 20, .

Ms Maximen's cousin, Lawrence Hoo, said that imagining Cher's daughter seeing her mother on the ground adds anger to their sadness, adding: "The feeling of loss is overwhelming but so is the feeling of rage. That's the daughter's last living memory of her mother."
Vyleen Maximen said: "Cher was my first born grandchild... 32 years of loving, laughing, playing, crying and holidaying with you. I will no longer have that pleasure ever again. I won't see you get married or have more children. I will never hear your key in my front door shouting, 'Hello Nanny'."

Thibou, 20, 20. Thibou was found guilty of murder, as well as attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to Isaac, 20, and having an offensive weapon.
Brother Sheldon Thibou, 25, was found guilty of violent disorder and assaulting PC Oliver Mort. A third brother, Shaeim Thibou, 22, was also convicted of assault on the police officer.
Violence flared just before 6pm on Sunday, August 25 last year between the defendants and at least two other men close to Cher, 32. Sheldon had a stun gun as he and Shaeim hit out at PC Mort, who tried to break it up, the court heard.
Meanwhile, Shakeil thrust a "huge" knife at Isaac, only missing him because his intended victim drew back. Cher was knocked to the ground then tried to get to her feet, prosecutor Ed Brown KC said. Shakeil raised the knife directly at her and deliberately stabbed her in her groin, jurors heard.
The defendants, of Hammersmith, West London, had denied all but one of the charges.
