When star announced she was expecting her first child with fiancé Jordan Oldershaw, she was overjoyed at the prospect of becoming a mum. Emily announced the news in September last year.
But her soon came crashing down around her when her daughter Eva was born 10 weeks early.
And while Emily was supported by medical staff and family, she has now revealed that the only thought running through her mind at the time, was the fear her precious daughter would not make it.
Speaking exclusively to the , the 28 year old former reality TV star admitted: "I guess the thing I was most scared of was her not making it, really."
She added: "I was only like two weeks into my third trimester and my bump wasn't even that big. It sounds silly but I didn't know how big, I thought she was going to literally be so, so tiny."
She recalled the moment she saw Eva who was placed in her arms, and was "pleasantly surprised." She went on to say: "There's so many things running through your head but at the same time you're concentrating and just trying to get through it. Its really hard to explain."
Emily shared her news on social media with an adorable black and white picture, showing off her baby bump. And the news came just three weeks after announcing that she was, who she had been dating for two years.
When asked how she coped emotionally while waiting on positive news on her daughter's well-being while in the neo-natal unit, she said she was lucky to have her fiancé Jordan by side every step of the way.

But dealing with the unknown was an incredibly scary time for the pair.
Emily said: "Me and Jordan would have to communicate with each other to help each other out. It really was, it was a journey. It was just the unknown we were just so scared. Everyday, you don't know what was going to be thrown at you, so it's the fear and the unknown that is the most scary part. "'
She continued: "For me I kind of just went into protection mode and I was kind of on a mission, honestly you wouldn't have recognised me. I was extremely anxious and extremely, almost wired from exhaustion and I didn't know what was going on. I was a woman on mission in terms of making sure I did absolutely everything and anything I could to help her, to speed everything up."
At one point, Emily questioned the reason why Eva was born premature and had thoughts on whether it may have been something she did during her pregnancy.
She explained: "About 80% of women who give birth to a pre-term baby they aren't given any reasons why, no rhyme or reason. So that in itself is very hard to come to terms with. You're constantly thinking why and what if, was it something I did? Why did my body fail me?"
She added: "But how I coped with it was I flipped it and thought well maybe my body saved me , maybe my body saved her, you don't know. There was a reason why she came out and I'll never know the reason why. some people do, some people get infection. But for the majority of us we actually don't know."
She went on to say: "Was it a fluke, flip thing, could it happen again? Absolutely. So there are so many unanswered questions and unknown stuff for the future. There are loads of other women in the same boat and I know there are because I speak to them all on ."
