Outlander: Blood of My Blood has already caused quite a stir among viewers after its double bill premiere, reports the Daily Record.
The prequel to the hit series Outlander has already been shown on Starz in the USA and is set to hit UK screens on MGM+ tomorrow (August 9). Fans are already buzzing after the show's bosses hinted at an Outlander crossover and as Outlander devotees wait for the final season.
The first two episodes plunged viewers into the show's universe, transporting them from WWI trenches to 18th century Scotland.
Blood of My Blood took fans on a rollercoaster ride, delving deeper into the intertwined love stories of Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield), as well as Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater).

One fan expressed their awe under an Instagram video from the cast of Blood of My Blood, writing: "@outlander_starz consider this soldier blown away" accompanied by three mind-blown emojis.
Another fan exclaimed: "They are right! ! ! ! It's brilliant", while a third simply stated: "SO GOOD."
Over on X (formerly Twitter), one viewer shared: "Holy cow...Blood of my Blood did NOT disappoint. WOW.
"A million ways thru could have screwed it up but this was masterfully done with all the right nods to the original. Brilliant first two episodes! #BloodOfMyBlood [sic]."

A second viewer heaped praise on the programme: "OMG! LOVED these eps. Casting = perfection. All the easter eggs! So well done.
"The way you can see traits Jamie and Claire have in each of their parents. Their love stories...already loving them. Safe to say I can't wait for the next one. #BloodOfMyBlood #Outlander [sic]."
The opening two episodes were crammed with numerous Easter eggs that countless Outlander enthusiasts spotted, with the show's creators pledging additional references throughout Blood of My Blood.
One supporter shared an image of Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) alongside his dad Brian and commented: "Just like his father #BloodOfMyBlood."
Another mirrored their sentiment and also posted pictures of the Fraser father and son pair: "like father like son #BloodOfMyBlood ."
Others noticed the parallels between the two programmes, including Julia's dreams of attending university like the Edinburgh Seven, and both Claire Fraser (Caitríona Balfe) and her father Henry's service on the battlefield during their respective World Wars.
One watcher observed: "The way Julia wanted to go to university but wasn't allowed. But her daughter and granddaughter got to go.
"Claire got to become a surgeon. Julia would have been so proud. #BloodOfMyBlood."
