Saturday Kitchen fans fumed, "Please stop", as they "turned over" after a segment.

In the most recent episode (August 16) of the beloved BBC cooking show, presenter Matt Tebbutt welcomed chefs Sabrina Ghayour and Jack Stein to the studio.

Sabrina prepared chapli kebabs alongside smashed crispy potatoes, whilst Jack whipped up a hake creation featuring chard and a sweetcorn dressing.

Wine expert Helen McGinn was on hand to suggest perfect pairings for each recipe, with Neil Radley offering beer recommendations to complement quirky crisp varieties.

Former Death in Paradise actor Ralf Little also appeared to discuss his forthcoming UK tour, reports the Express.

Yet viewers found themselves unimpressed by both the guest line-up and episode content, with numerous fans flocking to X (previously Twitter) to voice their displeasure.

Multiple supporters grew irritated when Matt's blowtorch noise interrupted Jack during his cooking demonstration, whilst others expressed annoyance at Ralf's response to his tomato-based food hell.

"Not feeling the show, switching channels," declared one viewer.

A second commented: "Sadly just had to turn off #SaturdayKitchen for three reasons. Mentioning lockdown all these years on (stop it). The guest retching at mention of his food hell (stop it), and Matt blowtorching drowning out Jack Stein. Love Helen though - always fab."

Elsewhere in the episode, the guests participated in a pub quiz to decide whether Ralf would receive his food heaven or food hell.

The two teams were put through their paces with a series of crisp-related queries and the challenge of identifying mystery flavours.

Yet, the segment didn't impress viewers, who swiftly took to social media to air their grievances, many of which were less than complimentary.

One viewer wrote on X: "Ditch the crisp segment," while another expressed frustration: "This has gone on way too long."

Discontent continued as a third person commented: "What a load of rubbish," and another echoed the sentiment, saying: "Why can I hear disgusting food eating noises? @RalfLittle is that your mic? @SaturdayKitchen a war crime is being committed."
