Shocking footage has captured the moment that a woman lied to a 999 operator in a bid to cover her brother for murder.
Karen Youdell, 50, was brutally killed by her ex-partner Dean Johnstone inside his garden in Newton Heath in July 2023. She was knocked unconcious after he stamped and jumped on her. Sadly, she was in a coma for 10 months before her life support was turned off.
However, Dean's sister, Yvonne Johnstone, her sister Lisa Johnstone and her partner Glenn Nelson attempted to hide the truth. They attempted to clean the house, with pots being washed and bleach being used.

The Manchester Evening News reports that Nelson and Lisa had moved gravely injured Ms Youdell onto the sofa before she was dragged outside by Nelson and Yvonne, who had arrived later on. Yvonne told the call handler that she'd found a woman in the street called Karen, labelling her a 'pi**head'.
In a section of the 999 call released by police, Yvonne said: "No she's not awake, we can't wake her. We've sat her up. She's in the garden. We didn't know she was there. Looks like she has been battered to a pulp. We've just walked to the house and she's sat on the door. She's sat outside unconscious heavily breathing."
In body worn footage also released, when asked by police who had attacked Ms Youdell, Yvonne said: "We don't know, we just found her like that." Asked where they found Ms Youdell, Yvonne Johnstone told officers: "Just at that front door there with that bottle of while lightning."
Ms Youdall had been dumped outside, with a cider bottle nearby to make it look like she had been drinking. In another clip, Dean told officers: "I ain't lying, I've done it." Dean was handed a life sentence and ordered to serve a minimum of 17-and-a-half years.
Lisa Johnstone, 43, and Nelson, 39, were both sentenced to three years and four months in jail, while Yvonne Johnstone, 45, was sentenced to two years and three months.
Dean, of no fixed address, previously pleaded guilty to murder. Yvonne, of Moston; Lisa, of Newton Heath, and Nelson, of Newton Heath, all previously pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice, reports Manchester Evening News.
In a joint tribute, Ms Youdell's daughters Leanne and Olivia said: "Karen could light up a room with her infectious smile, her giddy laugh, and her dancing. She was well liked by our community in Newton Heath and was always there for everyone. She was the kind of person who would give you her last £10 if you needed it.
"We had to lose our mum twice and our final memories are of her in a vegetative state—so far removed from the vibrant woman she once was. We are devastated by our loss. In losing Karen, we have lost a mum, a nana, an auntie, a daughter and a sister. Our family will never be the same and her absence will be felt forever."
