BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers distracted by Carlos Gu as they say 'who is that?'

Send Push

As Strictly Come Dancing's Halloween Week casts its spell, the ballroom buzzed with excitement for week six. But BBC viewers got more than they bargained for when they spotted Carlos Gu causing a stir on Saturday (October 26).

Chris McCausland and Diane Buswell opened the night with a chilling Samba to 'Stayin Alive' by The Bee Gees. Following the judges' remarks, they chatted with Claudia Winkleman about their performance.

Amidst their analysis and anticipation for scores, pro dancer Carlos seized the spotlight, donning an ensemble uncannily similar to host Claudia's signature look.

With a sleek black wig, sharp blazer, and leopard print trousers, the 31-year-old dancer turned heads and had fans rubbing their eyes in disbelief.

Confusion and amusement poured onto social media, with one observer pondering: "Who's that other 'Claudia'? #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly."

Another added their kudos online: "Carlos dressed as Claudia is amazing! #Strictly", while others chuckled with a simple: "Carlos", paired with laughter emoji. "Oh it's Carlos, I thought it was Karen! #Strictly #DoubleClaude", another viewer gushed.

One fan echoed the sentiment of many: "There's two Claudia's I had to take two #strictly #StrictlyComeDancing."

There are currently 11 celebrity couples left all hoping to lift the all important Glitterball trophy. Bookmakers have made Dr Punam Krishan and her professional dance partner Gorka Marquez the favourites to be eliminated from the show this week, reports

They received enough votes from viewers to avoid the dreaded dance-off last Sunday after finishing second bottom in the judges' leader board. Olympian Sam Quek and partner Nikita Kuzmin could join them in the dance-off after their odds of elimination were slashed from 33/1 to 7/2.

Last week, JLS star JB Gill and Amy Dowden were in the dance-off last week against Paul Merson and pro dancer Karen Hauer.

For Halloween they will will dance a Foxtrot to Dancing In The Moonlight by Toploader while Chris McCausland and his partner Dianne Buswell favourites to win.

The Strictly Come Dancing live show airs every Saturday on BBC One and iPlayer with the results show following on Sunday
