Brit Award-winning star Lisa Maffia, who lifted one of the coveted gongs in 2002 for Best British Video with the other members of her group So Solid Crew, including MC Harvey, Asher D (Ashley Walters) and Romeo, has revealed that she's cleaning toilets and emptying bins at her local church. The 45-year-old star took to Instagram to share a clip with her 94.1 thousand followers showing her going about her duties, which also included vacuuming the premises.
Dressed down in a casual black tee shirt and trousers she was a million miles from the usual glam shots she shares on her social media. She seemed happy and grateful in her work writing "love my life" over part of the clip while tagging the church. Lest fans worry she isn't on her uppers but rather volunteers her services at CityGate church where she is part of the congregation. She undertakes any necessary tasks including welcoming people, teaching or caring for kids during services, playing music or singing, managing sound, slides, or livestream, and preparing the building for services or events.
Lisa notched up five top-20 hits, including a platinum-selling single, 21 Seconds, and a platinum-selling album, They Don't Know, during her time with So Solid Crew.
She also enjoyed solo success, with two top-10 singles and an award-winning album, including the platinum-selling single All Over. Her most recent music release was 2017's Wah Gwarn.
She has also turned her hand to acting appearing in The Living Dead in 2020, Time To Collect in 2021 and RoadGirl in 2023.
She hit the headlines again in 2024 when she called out Carol McGiffin as "a rude a******" during a candid podcast appearance.

The 21 Seconds songstress unleashed a tirade against the former ITV Loose Women panellist on the Livin' Lavida Loca podcast, criticising her for being "rude" and suggesting that Carol's relationship with a younger man had gone to her head.
When asked about the "worst celebrity she's met and why" Lisa didn't hesitate: "Oh, I know this one. Her name is... what is her frigging name? She's rude, you know? She was one of the original panellists on Loose Women, such an a**hole. Was her name Caroline?"
Lisa elaborated on her point, describing Carol: "She had... she was old, short bob, grey, blondish hair. She had a young boyfriend. So she had really short cropped sort of hair, and she went and started dating some, like, really young guy, and it kind of went to her head. I had to check her."
The host of the social media show, Lavida Loca, clarified if she meant Carol McGiffin, to which Lisa confirmed: "Yeah. That's it, McGriffin or Griffin, little flippin' gruff, billy goat gruff. Nah, she was rude. I will tell you as it is, don't try me."
