Fulham owner Shahid Khan moored his superyacht in the Thames ahead of Jacksonville Jaguars' NFL clash with LA Rams at the weekend. The Pakistani-American owns the Jaguars as well as the Premier League football club, with his American football team losing 35-7 to the Rams at Wembley on Sunday.
Khan bought Fulham in July 2013 in a deal believed to be worth between £150million and £200m. During his time at Craven Cottage, the club have been relegated to the Championship on three occasions and have also won promotion back to the Premier League three times. The west London outfit currently ply their trade in the top tier and finished 11th last season under manager Marco Silva.
Last week, Khan's superyacht was spotted in the Thames near Tower Bridge, a week after it had been seen off the coast of Margate in Kent.
And the trip to the capital may be becoming an annual tradition, with the vessel being spotted on the Thames last October ahead of the Jaguars' matches against the Chicago Bears and the New England Patriots, which were also played in London.
According to The Sun, Khan's yacht is worth a whopping £345million and boasts a swimming pool, a bar and a wellness suite.
The wellness suite includes a cryotherapy chamber, treatment room and a sauna, while the publication have also stated that the deck of the vessel has enough room for a helipad.
There are nine cabins on the superyacht and room for 12 guests. And it can be chartered for a fee of £2.6million per week.
Meanwhile, The Telegraph state that the vessel is also equipped with a swimming pool, nightclub and submarine.
And the newspaper reported that the Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan, celebrated his 55th birthday on the ship earlier this month.
The pair are said to be 'friends', and the event will reportedly be declared on the Mayor's register of gifts and hospitality.
Shahid Khan is estimated to be worth a whopping £10.9billion after making his money with American car parts manufacturer Flex-N-Gate.
In 2018, he launched a £600m bid to buy Wembley Stadium but then withdrew his offer.
And the then-chief executive of the FA, Martin Glenn, explained at the time: "At a recent meeting with Mr Khan he expressed to us that, without stronger support from within the game, his offer is being seen as more divisive than it was anticipated to be and he has decided to withdraw his proposal.
"Wembley Stadium is an iconic venue that is revered around the world and it will continue to thrive under the ownership and direction of the FA."
