Arsenal shot-stopper David Raya has thrown his full support behind forward Leandro Trossard ahead of the crucial clash with Liverpool.
The Belgium international faced criticism when his errant backpass led to the sending off of team-mate William Saliba during Arsenal's defeat at Bournemouth, ultimately allowing opposition striker Evanilson to latch onto the loose ball before he was hauled down.
To make matters worse, Trossard was unsuccessful from the spot in Arsenal's tight 1-0 Champions League triumph over Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.
However, Raya is adamant that his team-mate will shrug off his recent woes, declaring: "He has a great attitude, I don't think that's going to play on his mind.
"He's a top professional and a top lad. I really don't think that will affect him, he's just got to focus on doing the right things as it's just part of football.
"Everybody makes mistakes so I don't think he will think too much about that.
"He just needs to keep doing what he's doing because he's a top player and he's helped us in a lot of games this season."
