In the wake of 's , mourning fans gathered in his hometown of Wolverhampton to honour the late star with flowers and moving letters.
However, just days before Sunday's Remembrance Parade, the council moved the memorial from the city centre.
Taking to X, the City of Wolverhampton stated: "Ahead of Sunday and Monday's Remembrance services at the Cenotaph, the council has respectfully relocated the tributes left in memory of Liam Payne to the bandstand at West Park."
They added: "People are welcome to leave any tributes to Liam at the memorial at the bandstand."
The official account also shared a photo of the "relocated" memorial which showed the floral tributes arranged into the shape of a heart on the bandstand.
The touching display which also featured an England flag had photographs, hand-written notes and balloons placed in the heart.
In October, the 29-year-old died from multiple injuries as well as internal and external bleeding after his body was found in the hotel's internal courtyard.
The City ambulance service provider spokesman Alberto Crescenti said: "Our role was to head there quickly, give medical attention, and try to resuscitate him, but his injuries were incompatible with life.
"Based on what the team saw, there was apparently a cranial fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death."
Following "a detailed analysis of more than 800 hours of video footage from various security cameras in the hotel and others in the street was also carried out," three people have been charged.
According to the public prosecutor's office in Argentina: "Unlawful conduct was discovered, as a result of which three people were charged with the crimes of abandonment of a person followed by death, supply and facilitation of narcotics.
"From the beginning of the investigation and within a few days, exhaustive and meticulous actions and measures were carried out to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death of the artist.
"In this sense, several dozen statements were received at the headquarters of the Public Prosecutor's Office including the testimonies of hotel staff, family and friends and medical professionals."
According to , two hotel workers are among the three people who were arrested.
