Marcus Rashford has taken to social media with a telling reaction one day after Manchester United stripped him of the No. 10 shirt. Ahead of Rashford's planned departure this summer, United have confirmed that Matheus Cunha will inherit his shirt number after joining in a £62.5million transfer from Wolves.

The 27-year-old is one of five players who have been allowed to delay their return to Carrington for pre-season as they look for new clubs. Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia also will not be present at the club's training ground on Monday as preparations for the new campaign begin.

Cunha is expected to clock in and meet his new teammates after becoming United's first signing of the summer in June.

Teenage left-back Diego Leon will also be part of the group after completing his £3.3m switch from Cerro Porteno on Saturday.

If Rashford's impending absence does not all but confirm that he has played his final game for United, his surrender of the No. 10 shirt does.

And the England international has made his plan to leave Old Trafford for good clear on social media with an update to his X profile.

On Saturday afternoon, Rashford shared his new profile picture with the caption #NewProfilePicture, sparking plenty of discussion in his comments.

The United academy graduate's choice of an image showing him working hard in the gym could be viewed as an effort to grab his potential summer suitors' attention.

Rashford has also decided to snub United in his bio after removing Aston Villa, where he spent the second half of last season on loan.

His new bio reads "England International Footballer", while he has kept his cover photo blank as he waits to seal his next move.

Rashford wants to complete a dream move to Barcelona, and his hopes were boosted by Nico Williams' decision to stay at Athletic Club.

Barca are also keen on Liverpool winger Luis Diaz, but the Premier League champions have already turned them away once this summer.

According to Foot Mercato, Barcelona and United are expected to open talks over a deal for Rashford in the coming days.

Rashford is said to be willing to make significant efforts to push through a switch to the Nou Camp.
