Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly making a key decision on their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's future. While Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, currently live with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at their Montecito home in California this could one day change.
This is because although Harry quit royal life and the UK in 2020 with Meghan, he is reportedly keen for his children to be educated in his home country. This would mean sending the young royals to boarding school across the pond.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not publicly addressed this, however it is believed they are currently having negotiations.
A source told The Mail: "'Harry wants his children to have the very best education. He has retained his closest friendship group of confidants from his days at school at Ludgrove and Eton. He wants that for his own children.
"There is still some negotiation for Harry to have with Meghan. The King, however, is delighted."
Prince Harry's friend, who spoke to The Mail, also claimed that Harry, 41, fears his children are "missing out on the extensive family network" of the Royal Family in the UK.
While Archie spent nearly the first year of his life in the UK, he has only visited once since the family moved away in 2020.
Princess Lilibet, who was born in America, has reportedly only visited her dad's home country once and is not believed to know many royal relatives very well.
Although Meghan has shared snippets of the family's life in Montecito on Instagram this year, both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex feel strongly about protecting their children's privacy and keeping them out of the public eye as much as possible - something they have managed to achieve in America.
It is believed Harry wants his children to visit the UK more in the future, despite initial security fears he has following his lost court appeal regarding his UK taxpayer-funded security.
Meghan, Archie and Lilibet haven't visited the UK since 2022, with Harry instead having made a number of solo visits across the pond.
