Kensington Palace has released a new picture of Prince William and Princess Kate as they prepare to attend the French State Banquet at Windsor Castle this evening. The couple were the first members of the Royal Family to welcome President Macron and his wife Brigitte to the UK earlier today.
Alongside the picture, the post read: "Ready for what promises to be a wonderful State Banquet this evening in Windsor", following by both the United Kingdom and French flags. Kate, 43, looked stunning in a red ball gown and tiara as she joined her husband and other senior royals for a glittering state banquet. Her attendance at the evening event was only confirmed by Kensington Palace this afternoon.
Following her cancer battle, her participation in major events continue to be confirmed at the last minute.
After sharing the new picture to their social media platforms, fans expressed their delight over the picture of the royal couple.
One fan commented: "What a beautiful photo! [red-heart emoji] x."
Another wrote: "Both of you look absolutely stunning and powerful [red-heart emoji]."
Commenting on Kate, a third added: "She looks flawlessly radiant. Period."
Kate, who recently opened up about her "rollercoaster" cancer recovery and its life-changing impact, carried out various royal duties during today's fine display of pomp and pageantry.
The French President and First Lady were warmly welcomed to Britain by the royal couple at RAF Northolt and travelled with them to Windsor for a full ceremonial welcome.
Other highlights of the state visit include viewing the elegant Charabanc carriage from the Royal Mews and Febuleu de Maucour, a 10-year-old grey gelding which Mr Macron gifted the late Queen in 2022 to mark her Platinum Jubilee.
