Former President Donald Trump's mic suddenly stopped working as he spoke at a Detroit rally on Friday and he was visibly upset. The Republican presidential nominee was without a microphone for about 18 minutes, during which his campaign put up a graphic reading: 'technical difficulties' and 'complicated business'. This comes as Trump and his opponent VP Kamala Harris are campaigning in Michigan, in an attempt to woo crucial swing state voters.
Trump was about to speak about one of his favorite subjects, tariffs, when the microphone stopped working. He said 'the most beautiful word in the dictionary' before going mute. The former President then paced around the stage for about 18 minutes as the crowd chanted 'USA' and 'We love Trump'.Read More: This is not the first time Donald Trump's rally has been interrupted. On Monday, the 78-year-old had to cut off a town hall and play music after multiple people in the audience needed medical attention. “I won’t pay the bill for this stupid company," he said on Friday. “I won't pay the bill, and then we’ll have a story that Trump didn’t pay the bill to a contractor.”Read More: Before technical issues spoiled his show in Detroit, Trump was speaking to the crowd about jobs and manufacturing. “Detroit was decimated as if by a foreign army...Our factories were left in ruins, and under Kamala Harris, the US has lost nearly 50,000 manufacturing jobs,” Trump told his supporters. He had called Detroit a 'mess' earlier this month. “The whole country is going to be like, you want to know the truth? It’ll be like Detroit,” Trump said last week. “Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she’s your president. You’re going to have a mess on your hands,” he said. “We’re not going to let her do that to this country. We’re not gonna let it happen.”Trump’s microphones just stopped working mid rally… he doesn’t look happy about it pic.twitter.com/NXhGD0vgpP
