CM holds all-party meeting ahead of ceasefire

Jaipur: Even as India and Pakistan agreed to immediate ceasefire,CM Bhajan Lal Sharma presided over an all-party meeting earlier in the day Saturday. During the meeting, he urged all parties to establish unity and mutual harmony and work together with the govt in the interest of the state. Deputy CM Premchand Bairwa, parliamentary affairs minister Jogaram Patel, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully, MLA Rafeek Khan, RLD MLA Subhash Garg, BSP MLA Manoj Kumar, and BAP MLA Umesh Meena were present at the meeting.

During the meeting, the CM said that considering the need for human resources in border districts, all vacant positions were filled. He said that a revolving fund was provided for Barmer, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Sriganganagar, Jodhpur, Hanumangarh and Phalodi districts in western Rajasthan for essential tasks like transportation, camps, medicines, equipment and food for those affected in any emergency.

He informed the representatives of political parties that additional forces from RAC, disaster relief teams, and civil defence were deployed in border areas to assist with security arrangements. "Special vigilance was maintained at public places, markets, tourist spots, bus stands, and railway stations. Security and continuous monitoring are being ensured at religious sites, important tourist destinations, and other critical establishments like dams, power plants, and refineries. Necessary measures have been taken to prevent cyber-attacks."

Sharma also appealed to all parties to stay in contact with their party workers and volunteers and cooperate in blood donation, rescue programs, blackouts, and other arrangements organized by the state govt.

He stressed on the need to stay vigilant and monitor even the smallest incidents. "Prevent the spread of rumours. Inform the govt if any shortcomings or needs are felt at any level," he said.

He also said instructions were given to avoid bright lights, dazzle, and fireworks at weddings and other ceremonies. "A complete ban was imposed on flying private drones. District administrations were directed to establish a robust siren system and raise public awareness about various siren signals through TV channels, radio, social media, etc," he said.

Earlier in the day, Bairwa released an audio message addressing the citizens and youths of the state. Bairwa made a special appeal to youths, urging them to ‘step forward promptly wherever needed to assist the administration and the public' and to fulfil their role with a spirit of ‘selfless service'.
