India-Pakistan tensions: Jaisalmer police arrest 9 suspects for filming military sites

JAISALMER: In light of the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, a suspect was detained in Jaisalmer on Friday night for allegedly filming military movements and other strategic information illegally and sending confidential information across the border.

Additionally, nine other suspects were arrested and are being interrogated. Similarly, a person was arrested in Barmer for allegedly videotaping military strategic information.

Jaisalmer SP Sudhir Chaudhary stated that despite the Indian govt's strict prohibition on sharing or distributing any photography or videos related to military activities on social media or elsewhere, some suspects were committing the crime of sending military strategic activities and other information to other places and filming them.

In this context, the district police arrested nine individuals near strategically important sites upon finding suspicious activities.

A suspect was detained on charges of sending information across the border, and further investigation is underway. All security and intelligence agencies are interrogating the suspects.
