'Partly cloudy sky for next few days'

Kanpur: City witnessed a pleasant Thursday morning following overnight rain which led to a drop in the mercury. However, the day was warm with a maximum temperature of 37.4 degrees Celsius, 2.9 degrees lower than normal.

As per the weather forecast from Meteorological Department, the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy over the next five days, however, there is no likelihood of rain. Weather expert from CSA University, Sunil Pandey, stated that the city recorded 4.2mm of rainfall on the intervening night of May 7 and 8 . Later in the day, the south-west wind velocity was noted at 5.4 kilometres per hour. tnn
