Kanpur: Kalyanpur police arrested two additional suspects in connection with a road rage case wherein a youth, who objected to dangerous motorcycle riding, was beaten to death in Nankari area of Kalyanpur recently. The authorities had already arrested the primary accused in the case.
The incident occurred on April 24, when Sumit, a Nankari resident, confronted local hoodlum Guddu over his reckless motorcycle riding. Subsequently, Guddu and five accomplices assaulted Sumit with sticks and iron rods, causing severe injuries. Sumit later succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital.
The police arrested two murder suspects, Anand Sharma and Ravi Kumar, near Kalyanpur station on Thursday morning. The primary accused, Guddu, was already in police custody. Kalyanpur ACP Abhishek Kumar said appropriate legal proceedings were initiated against the three accused, while the search continues for the remaining suspects.
