Kanpur: A woman's body was found hanging from the ceiling of her house in the Panki area of the city on Thursday evening. Her family accused her in-laws of killing her for dowry. Meanwhile, the in-laws claimed that there was a dispute with her husband over his liquor addiction. Upset, the woman sent the children out of the room and hanged herself.
Rajan, a resident of Mahavir Nagar, works at a courier company. He married 30-year-old Madhuri 11 years ago. They have two children. Madhuri's sister and brothers alleged that Rajan used to harass her. Madhuri complained several times that Rajan would often beat her.
