MYSURU: After a break of 11 hours, ED officials continued the probe for the second day at the MUDA office on Saturday. They verified land records for 12 hours on Friday before leaving the office at 11.45 pm.
Meanwhile, G Kumar Naik, MP, Raichur, and former deputy commissioner, Mysuru, arrived at the Lokayukta office to give evidence. He is now a Congress leader. Naik was accused of alienating disputed Kesare land without visiting the spot.
Despite the rain, the ED officers' team arrived at the urban development office on JLB Road around 11.30 pm and started verifying documents. At the same time, Kumar Naik visited the Lokayukta office, which is just 100 metres away from the MUDA office, sources confirmed.
The MUDA commissioner and secretary are facilitating the investigation by furnishing all pertinent documents concerning the notification of land acquisition, ultimate notification, land procurement, layout development, site allotment, and records pertaining to the 14 sites provided as compensation. Furthermore, the minutes of the meeting that resolved to allocate 14 sites as compensation are also being meticulously scrutinised.
ED officers are summoning all records to the meeting room at the MUDA office, where they are going through the documents in detail.
