Ben Affleck, the A-list actor in Hollywood, starred in ‘The Accountant’ franchise and enchanted the audiences with his performance. The recently released second instalment has been getting positive reviews, and the audience demands more. Well, the director Gavin O’Connor always envisioned the film to be a trilogy to give an appropriate ending to the tale of Christian Wolff (played by Affleck), so one can hope.

The character of Christian Wolff In ‘The Accountant 2,’ Christian is known to fail to have an emotional connection and a healthy relationship, according to USA Today. “Christian, finding connection and love is the natural progression,” the director mentioned during the movie’s premiere.

While expressing about the complex character, Ben Affleck stated, “Something that I find really beautiful is the naked yearning to say, ‘I want to have this kind of connection with another person.’ It's just difficult for me to figure out the sort of coded language that everybody seems to be using.”

“We've all had those moments where we reflect, ‘Did I say the wrong thing? Oh, my God, I'm so stupid,” the 52-year-old actor stated about overthinking.

Adding to the Christian’s character, he said that Wolff messes up in saying the correct things because he blurts out things that he is supposed to say or what others expect. “And sometimes it just really blows up in his face. And we all feel that way, like, ‘Oh, if I tell the truth about who I really am, or my insecurities, or my fears or even what I like or my hobbies, is the other person going to think that's lame and judge me?” Ben continued.

Is there going to be 'The Accountant 3'?Speaking about expecting a third instalment, the ‘Batman’ actor said, “But if I give it away to you, it will ruin whole movie.” Furthermore, he said that Christian’s character arc has evolved since the first movie in 2016. In the first film, he is grappling with his feelings, but in the second film, he is making choices, but heartbreakingly, knowing that he is trying to make deliberate choices.

“Then ultimately, there are a whole other set of human mysteries that surround what it's like to be in a relationship, and I think that would be a really, really interesting, really fertile ground to explore,” Ben said, hinting at the third instalment.
