Delhi Capitals are likely to tweak their batting order for their remaining three league stage matches of the Indian Premier League ( IPL ) and experienced batter KL Rahul could be back as an opener for the Axar Patel-led unit.
Currently fifth on the points table with 13 points from 11 matches, DC want to get their act right at the top of the order and a promotion is on the cards for Rahul.

In the ten matches he has played so far, Rahul has opened once, batted at No. 3 on two occasions and played the remaining seven games at No. 4 - a position he was given before the season got underway.
He has had decent returns in the middle-order but the management is keen to stop the shuffling of openers and have the experience of Rahul in the powerplay.
There have been some forced changes due to the inconsistency of Jake Fraser-McGurk and injury to Faf du Plessis but some continuity could be expected in their remaining games versus Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings.
DC, who were off to a brilliant start in the IPL 2025 edition, lost their way in the middle and have struggled to recover from the heartbreak against Mumbai Indians at home.
Since then, they haven't clicked as a unit and need to get their act right against three top teams of the tournament. The race to playoffs is now heating up with seven teams still mathematically alive in the competition. Delhi Capitals not only need the batters to click but would hope the reinforcements do the job.
As TimesofIndia.com had reported earlier, Mitchell Starc will not be returning for the IPL and the onus will now be on the likes of T Natarajan, Mustafizur Rahman, Mohit Sharma and Mukesh Kumar to do the heavy lifting in the bowling department.
They will resume their campaign against Gujarat Titans at home on Sunday, then travel to Mumbai for the clash against MI and finish their league stage with the fixture against Punjab Kings in Jaipur.
