Another fan wrote, “As a Panthers fan this can go either way I just know Panthers is a force to be reckon with that being said let the best team win 🙌🙌”, while a third fan commented, “Let’s go boys! Win or lose we are so f**king proud of you guys! ❤️”

Another fan commented, “I’m praying for you and your team to win the Stanley cup this year 💙🧡🙏🏼🔥. Do it for Hyman and Ben. #letsgooilers”, while a fifth fan noted, “Go get it. The whole country is behind you.”

With Zach Hyman missing from the lineup due to an injury he had sustained in Game 4 against the Dallas Stars, the Oilers’ fans are a bit worried.

Many fans were even upset and stressed when Connor McDavid lifted the Clarence S. Campbell trophy after defeating the Dallas Stars as many believe in the NHL curse of losing at the finals if a team touches the conference championship trophies.

Connor McDavid even spoke about touching the trophy and said, “It’s pretty obvious I think. Don’t touch it last year, you don’t win. Touch it this year, hopefully we win.”

Game 1 between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers begin on Wednesday night.
