Surjeet Singh , 58, additional district magistrate for law and order in Ayodhya , was found dead at his government residence Thursday. Postmortem report revealed shock and haemorrhage as cause of death. Forensic experts who examined the report said his oesophagus and veins burst and he vomited blood. Praveen Kumar, IG (Faizabad range), told TOI that Surjeet was suffering from a prolonged illness and was under medication.
