Kanpur: A woman staff accused the hotel operator of holding her captive and rape. Police have registered a report based on her complaint and arrested the accused operator.
According to the woman, she was at the hotel late on Wednesday night when 45-year-old operator arrived there and dragged her to a room. He tied her hands and feet and raped her and left threatening her.
The woman has filed a complaint with Chakeri police. The police have registered a case against the accused under sections including rape and intimidation based on the woman's complaint. Police station in charge Santosh Kumar Shukla said that the accused was arrested on Thursday near PAC Mod Bypass. A case was registered against the accused in 2020 also for threatening and abusing a man, said the official adding, "He has been sent to jail."
