Apple is preparing to launch a record six new iPhones in 2026, including its first foldable iPhone, according to a report by The Information. This marks a significant departure from Apple’s traditional strategy of launching four iPhones each fall, typically in September.

To accommodate the foldable iPhone—tentatively dubbed the iPhone Fold—Apple is reportedly reshuffling its release calendar. The iPhone 18 Pro models and a new iPhone 18 Air could debut together, while the standard iPhone 18 and the successor to the iPhone 16e may be introduced in Spring 2026.

iPhone Fold: Apple’s Most Ambitious Phone Yet

According to the report, the iPhone Fold will feature a book-style folding design, differing from clamshell models offered by competitors like Samsung and Motorola. When closed, the device may sport a 5.7-inch display, expanding to nearly 8 inches when unfolded—positioning it as a hybrid between an iPhone and an iPad Mini.
